How can I be involved?  There are several opportunities to serve in the Covenant TOT Ministry where you are working directly with children.
  • Fill out a TOT Ministry Preference card to be added to the general Helper rotation. This service would be 3-4 times a year during Sunday Morning service times.
  • Sign-up to be a TOT Ministry Captain. This is a once a month rotation with the other Captains. You would assist parents and children with nursery routing, teach a Sunday School lesson, and direct the general nursery activities.
  • Sign-up to help with Tuesday Morning or Wonderful Wednesday. These positions are usually paid. You would assist parents and children with nursery routing and direct the nursery activities.
  • Sign-up to help with Special Events. You would be on a list to be called to provide nursery for other ministries going on in the church and special events. Generally these positions are paid.
How else can I be involved?  We understand that not everyone feels comfortable working directly with children. If you are one of these people but would still like to be involved, we have several opportunities here too!
  • Adopt-A-Nursery: You can sign-up to Adopt-A-Nursery to do general cleaning of one of the nurseries once a month. Or do nursery toy maintenance. This involves checking for overall safety issues, cleaning, organizing, and battery check/replacement (batteries paid for by CPC), of the toys on a monthly basis.
  • TOT Ministry Curriculum. This involves making copies of lessons, general organization of monthly lessons and their supply needs.
Are you a New Member?  Members 15 years and older are given the opportunity to assist parents in the Christian nurture of their little ones by helping in the nurseries on a rotating schedule. New members are given a TOT Ministry Preference card to fill out upon joining. TOT Ministry scheduling is by rotation based on others that desire the same time and nursery as you. Therefore, your service could fluctuate between 3 to 4 times a year. Once you are scheduled you will receive a letter with the TOT Ministry schedule and then a post card reminding you of the service date. We understand that not everyone can or desires to serve in the nursery therefore, if you are one of these people please mark the box requesting exemption and turn in the card to the church office or attach to the Family Register clip board during the worship service.

Need to change your Tot Ministry Preference?  At any time, a member may fill out a new Tot Ministry Preference card if they would like to choose a different nursery or time preference. Cards are available in the foyer of the worship center. The card can then be dropped off in the church office nursery box or attached to the Family Register clip board during the worship service.

What else does the Tot Ministry do?
  • New Mother’s List: This list is located in the Nursery hallway on the bulletin board. By adding your name you will be prayed for on a weekly basis and be given a special gift upon the arrival of your new little one.
  • Nursery Tour: This can be set up by contacting the nursery coordinator and is available for any perspective nursery users. At this time you will be shown all our nurseries and be informed of how the nursery operates.
  • Community Service Hours for teens: Any teen that signs up to work for any of our Special Events, Tuesday Morning, or Wonderful Wednesday needs can use the service time towards their Community Service Hours required for High School graduation.
