Discover Your Gifts & Skills
Paul said in Ephesians 4:4-7, "There is one body and one Spirit--just as you were called to one hope when you were called--one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. But to each one of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it."
Jesus loves His Church, and He is the process of building her up in unity in order to expand His kingdom to the ends of the earth. This means that we all have a part to play in that overall mission and identity. Jesus has apportioned grace to each person in the church for the sake of the common good and for the sake of the common mission of the Church.
Sometimes, we need help knowing what gifts God has given us. Sometimes, we don't discover our gifts until we start serving people, because God is not as interested in our ability as He is in our availability. So the first step is to start moving forward by serving the people you already know, and then see what natural talents bubble to the surface.
